Blind Channel Tour

An extended eco-adventure tour in our zodiac style boat, and a 60-75 minute guided hike on shore.

Bald eagles swirl over rapids, swooping down to pluck fish from the whirlpools as your eco adventure boat navigates the Discovery Islands, home to some of the most amazing wildlife viewing on the Pacific coast.

Feel the spray on your face, hear the rush in your ears, and sense the power of the ocean as you cruise through the surrounding rapids, and spot Steller sea lions, Dall’s porpoises, and harbour seals gathering in nearby waters to feed. Depending on the time of year you may also see whales or Pacific White Sided Dolphin.

Then get on shore to view Nature’s cathedrals. The old-growth rainforests along British Columbia’s coast boast ancient cedars that tower hundreds of feet high, and exploring them on foot is especially awe-inspiring. These trails are well maintained, but still quite wild, with just one section that’s moderately steep. The hike is suitable for anyone comfortable walking for more than an hour and climbing a few sets of stairs.

The total trip is typically three and a half to four hours. If scheduled over lunch time there will be a picnic lunch, the perfect reason to linger a little longer.
