SPRING: 3 NIGHT ITINERARY

DAY 1 - STROLL

Arrive at Sonora Resort by helicopter or seaplane from Vancouver or by water taxi from Campbell River. Relax in your luxurious ocean facing accommodation with a comfortable king or queen size bed, luxurious linens, and a cozy goose-down duvet. Enjoy a sunset stroll through lush forest on our many hiking trails before a sumptuous Chef’s Tasting Menu in the Tyee Dining Room. 

DAY 2 – CHARTER CRUISE

Enjoy a tasty breakfast before heading out on the Bute Inlet Cruise, a majestic tour of soaring 8000 ft peaks and sheer cliffs dropping into turquoise waters. A scrumptious picnic-style lunch is served as you cruise past dominating waterfalls and spy eagles, bears and a variety of sea birds along the shoreline. Tonight, a romantic candlelit dinner in the Tyee Dining Room and a luxurious soak in a private hot tub under the stars rounds out the day.  

DAY 3 – HELICOPTER GLACIER TOUR & ISLAND CURRENTS SPA

Sights of glaciers, waterfalls and snow-capped peaks take your breath away on a 2-hour Helicopter Glacier Tour. Touch down on a glacier or remote mountain top for an incredible view as you sip champagne and indulge in a selection of savory and sweet treats on top of

the world. Spend the afternoon in a relaxing side-by-side West Coast Healing Massage at the Island Currents Spa. As the sun dips lower, a custom cocktail from the bar and specialty Dungeness Crab Dinner whets your appetite.

DAY 4 – GARDEN TOUR

A morning stroll through one of Sonora’s tranquil meditation areas with a cup of tea is the perfect start to this spring day. Loop back to the Tyee Patio for a delicious lunch featuring fresh West Coast ingredients before departing the resort. 

SUMMER: 3 NIGHT ITINERARY

DAY 1 – DISCOVERY ISLAND VIEWPOINT

Arrive at Sonora Resort by helicopter or seaplane from Vancouver or by water taxi from Campbell River. Head straight to the Discovery Island Viewpoint for a sultry sunset and glass of wine while overlooking an ocean vista teaming with wildlife. Tonight, sample fresh Pacific oysters and enjoy the sommelier’s wine pairings with a summer a-la-carte menu. A spacious soaker tub awaits in your luxurious ocean-facing accommodation. 

DAY 2 – HELICOPTER TASTING TOUR

Savor a delicious breakfast in the Dining Room before you board your private helicopter for an unforgettable day sampling award winning spirits and wine on beautiful Vancouver Island. The Helicopter Tasting Tour stops on a remote glacier on the return trip for a once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity with your loved one. This evening, delight in a candle-lit Chef’s Tasting Menu and a custom Shelter Point Distillery cocktail on the Tyee Patio overlooking an ocean vista.

DAY 3 – FLORENCE LAKE 

Today’s itinerary includes a delightful day trip to a serene mountain lake to enjoy a leisurely picnic lunch and water activities on Florence Lake. We shuttle guests on the 10km round trip, so you can focus your energy on each other. End the day with an impressive culinary treat – a Tomahawk Steak Dinner, prepared by the expert chefs of Sonora. Back at the lodge, sink into a romantic hot tub under the stars. 

DAY 4 – ISLAND CURRENTS SPA

Spend the morning at the Island Currents Spa pampering yourselves with a specialty treatment and calming soak in the Mineral Pools. Enjoy a delicious gourmet pizza, done on the wood stone oven on Tyee Patio before departing the resort. 

FALL: 3 NIGHT ITINERARY

DAY 1 – STROLL

Arrive at Sonora Resort by helicopter or seaplane from Vancouver or by water taxi from Campbell River. Stroll hand-in-hand through stunning fall foliage on one of our many well-marked hiking trails, make sure you stop by the Sonora Springs to take in the view! In the evening, enjoy a gourmet candlelit dinner in the Tyee Dining Room and settle into your ocean facing accommodation with luxurious linens and cozy goose-down duvets. 

DAY 2 – GRIZZLY BEAR TOUR

Observe one of the most magnificent and elusive animals on the continent – the great Grizzly Bear in it’s wild habitat. The Grizzly Bear Tour is a short voyage to the Orford River by boat where an experienced Homalco First Nation guide transports you by vehicle to covered bear viewing towers to safely view these spectacular animals pluck salmon from the riverbanks.  Spot eagles, ravens, and elk in the lush, cathedral-like forest as the guides share their knowledge about the bears, salmon, Homalco people and their ties to the land. Tonight, sample a delectable Chef’s Tasting Menu and Sommelier’s wine pairings. 

DAY 3 – ISLAND CURRENTS SPA RETREAT PACKAGE

Lap up an afternoon of pampering with an Island Currents Spa Retreat Package – a sensual side-by-side massage and Island Currents Facials followed by a couples manicure and pedicure. The total package to transcend life’s pace and enable total calmness to envelop your being. Tonight, try a fall-inspired a-la-carte menu and sip a glass of wine from Sonora’s award-winning wine cellar. Stargazing in a private hot tub is the perfect close to your final evening. 

DAY 4 – CONSERVATORY

After a scrumptious breakfast, meander through the Conservatory; a tranquil indoor green space. Experience both a tropical and seasonal environment including local varieties that you may have spotted on your journey around Sonora before departing the resort.
