Sonora Resort operates seasonally from May through October, during which time our staff work and live on site at Sonora Resort. Shift work is required during resort operational season; comprised of 10 working days and 4 non-working days, subject to change during peak season.  We require a minimum commitment of one season to be eligible for a position.

Sonora Resort will reopen for the 2020 season on May 1, 2020.

Spa Manager

The Spa Manager will have a passion for excellence in guest service and a strong background in luxury spa management. They will provide direction and leadership in the daily operation of the Island Currents Spa and Wellness Centre. The Spa Manager is responsible for ensuring all productivity and expense controls are followed as well as ensuring that all revenue opportunities, in keeping with the positioning of Sonora Resort, will be capitalized upon. The Spa Manager has a keen ability to build strong relationships, lead a team of spa professionals and deliver an amazing guest experience that distinguishes the Island Current Spa and Wellness Center as one of the finest resort spas in the world.

Events Manager 

The Events Manager will have a strong, career-oriented background in Conference Service and Catering. They will provide direction and leadership to executing the entire event cycle for all events ranging from small family groups to large corporate groups and conferences. The incumbent is responsible for guest administration including pre & post communications, implementation and coordination of group itineraries, creating and executing Banquet Event Orders, and delivering outstanding convention services to our discerning guests.

Assistant Maintenance Manager 

The Assistant Maintenance Manager will have strong leadership skills and a technical background in maintaining mechanical infrastructure. They will provide direction and leadership in effective and efficient day-to-day operation of the resort’s infrastructure. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining the resort’s mechanical infrastructure while performing key management duties.
