Each one of our staff members contribute to the guest experience at Sonora Resort; Our Housekeeping and Grounds Maintenance teams set the stage for our guests’ accommodations, while our Kitchen and Dining room teams provide an incredible fine dining experience showcasing seasonally-inspired local ingredients. Sonora Resort operates seasonally from May through October, during which time our staff work and live on site at Sonora Resort. Shift work is required during resort operational season; comprised of 10 working days and 4 non-working days, subject to change during peak season. We require a minimum commitment of one season to be eligible for a position.

SEASONAL STAFF OPPPORTUNITIES
We’re currently accepting applications for Seasonal Staff for the 2020 Season.
We are looking for talented, passionate professionals who are dedicated to delivering an exceptional service experience for our guests and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Chef de Partie, Breakfast Cook: Deliver unique and exquisite dishes that compliment a world class dining experience. Positions are well-rounded and versatile. 3+ years of cooking experience, culinary arts level 1, 2, or 3 required, Red Seal certifications are an asset.
Pastry Assistant: Assist with pastry preparation including breakfast pastries, lunch desserts, box lunch baked goods, dinner desserts, handmade chocolates and petit fours and our in-house bread program. 3+ years of cooking experience, culinary arts level 1, 2, or 3 required, Red Seal certifications are an asset.
Dishwashing Steward: Oversee the cleanliness and organization in the dish washing area of the Main Kitchen.
Night Janitor: Prepare the resort common areas for the next business day including cleaning public areas, floors, laundry and pressing. 1+ years of housekeeping experience required.
Spa Practitioner: Provide an exceptional spa experience to guests including massage, facials, signature treatments and nail care. Certificate of completion in recognized Massage or Esthetics Spa Practitioner program required; yoga teaching certificates are an asset.
Spa Practitioner & Yoga Teacher: Provide spa treatments including massage, facials, signature body treatments and nail care, as well as All-levels Hatha Yoga Classes. Please not we do not have a Yoga Teacher Only position. Certificate of completion in recognized Massage or Esthetics Spa Practitioner program required, Yoga Teaching certificate required.
Gardener’s Helper: Maintain existing gardens, lawns and resort grounds, including a tropical conservatory. Weeding, watering, small landscaping projects. 1+ year gardening or landscaping experience preferred.
Head Gardener: Prepare and execute the planting schedule for the resort. Supervise gardener’s helpers and direct day-to-day maintenance of the resort’s gardens, lawns and resort grounds including the tropical conservatory. 1+ year gardening or landscaping experience required, 1+ year supervisory experience preferred. Position is seasonal from Mid March through November, annually.
