Hiking and Biking Trails
Well-marked hiking and biking trails meander through the lush Pacific rainforest of Sonora Island. Shorter loops take you through the woods to lookout points, while a longer 5 kilometer hike, following an old logging road, leads to Florence Lake where you can picnic and swim. A few canoes, paddle boards and pedal boats are available too, by reservation.
Light hiking boots or running shoes are recommended for all trails, and bringing along a set of bear bells is also a good idea. For your safety, let the gift shop know where you are headed and your estimated return time.
|Trail Name||Distance||Time||Hiking Notes|

|Red Loop||3.6 kms||1.5 hours||A wide road which branches off into a stretch of mature forest.|
|Yellow Loop||1.5 kms||45 minutes||Begins on a wide, easy trail. Terrain becomes rougher with many stumps and roots.|

Hiking time is round trip. Both distances and hiking times are approximate. Many of these trails have steep inclines and loose gravel. Be cautious when biking and always wear a helmet.
